Here at Sunbeam, we preserve more than flowers; we preserve your moments. The bouquet you were holding in your hands as you walked - butterflies and all - down the aisle. The boutonniere pinned to your husband’s chest while he looked at you and said, "I do."  The roses that lay on top of your grandmother’s casket as you said goodbye and laid her to rest. The flowers decorating your baby shower.  Whether a wedding, funeral, or celebration, it’s our joy to preserve the flowers from any event that is special to you, and create something beautiful you can cherish in your home forever.

We pride ourselves on our intentional and thoughtful design process. We approach your flowers not as an order to fulfill, but as a piece of art to create. Your dried flowers tell their own unique visual story. After drying your blooms, we observe their color profile, texture, shape, and take our time creating a cohesive piece of art.

Founder and artist Andrea Mason is a Rhode Island native and a self-taught floral preservationist and resin artist. She holds a BS in Textiles, Fashion Merchandising, & Design and a BA in Philosophy from the University of Rhode Island. Andrea worked with resin for the first time after being inspired by a bouquet of yellow roses sitting in a vase on her kitchen table. After having the thought, “these are so beautiful, I wish I could stare at them forever,” she researched floral preservation, bought a resin kit online and began to play. She posted her first creations on Instagram, and was overwhelmed with positive response. Suddenly, she was preserving wedding and funeral flowers for many friends. Her hobby turned into a small business, which has blossomed into Sunbeam Preservation Works.
